The commission
Ivy Stranahan speaks again.
History Fort Lauderdale entrusted us with the “Mother of Fort Lauderdale” — teacher, suffragist, and one of the most influential figures in the city's founding. Built from her own record, reviewed and approved by the museum's historians, and meeting visitors at their events today.
She debuted beside George Washington at the Museum of Miami on July 4 and has met visitors at every Founders Series room since — the hometown voice in a national story.
